Brainfood Academy is an alternative to traditional brick and mortar schools or even homeschooling as we know it today. It is an online private school that is solving the problem of our broken education system.
Brainfood For All
Brainfood Academy is a program that is meant to make online learning all that it can be. It is designed to create a space where teachers can give their best, be supported, and be paid what they deserve. At the same time, we also created it as a space for online students to be in a learning space they can take with them anywhere. And in addition, they will be able to learn in a safer environment than traditional schools are becoming.
Brainfood for Educators
For teachers, we have a platform that allows for you to teach as many classes as you want that will pay you by the student. This is in a setting where you will actually be able to focus your energy on teaching and bringing your best to your students.
In order to take advantage of this AWESOME opportunity to actually teach children instead of indoctrinating, teachers must be a Member in our DTC Platform. In this platform you will find all you need to do the best job possible. The sign up fee is $250, with a $50 dollar annual fee. You will have the respect and support you need to be your best. Lack of Respect and support are two of the reasons that we are losing educators. Another big one is the low pay. Brainfood Academy has the solution to all of these problems. And there is more, but those issues actually can be felt by everybody involved.
Brainfood for Students
This is a great platform for students. In this program, the student has a chance to meet the teachers available for all of the curriculum that they will need. This is a great way to ensure that the teacher’s style meshes well with the student’s personality and learning style. This will ease a lot of friction between student an educator. Too many times in the traditional setting, a teacher is assigned that is not a good fit for the student, which can make learning more difficult.
And the mobility of this online school opportunity is awesome. For those families that have to move around a lot because one or both of the parents are in the military, this is a way to stop the constant disruption and evade variable standards. And there are those times when a big life event or emergency comes up, and there is no choice but to bring the student along. Being in Brainfood Academy, there is no problem with missing school or having to deal with the dreaded absentee label.
What Are Other Considerations?
When I went to school, many years ago, disruptive students took up a lot of attention. This caused teaching and learning to suffer as the teachers had to deal with the disruptions in real time. Because the troublemakers could take up so much of the teacher’s time, it cut into instruction time. The problem was not very severe then, but according to my children and grandchildren, it is getting worse.
And who hasn’t seen the evidence of increased violence at school? It isn’t just the mass school shootings that we hear about. Bullying is on the rise. Larger students are actually physically assaulting younger and smaller students in ways that can lead up to extreme harm. And some practices that are becoming more and more common can even have immediate lethal consequences.
Who wants to have police around while they are trying to learn? They are not there to disrupt, but their very presence leads to stress, because everyone knows why they are there. Even in my low population, rural community, all of the schools now have peace officers on duty during school hours. Campuses are now closed. 30 years ago, the high school students could take advantage of an open campus for lunch, and a parent’s note could afford the same privilege to elementary students.
